How to figure a lambs weight without a scale

 

(Heart girth x heart girth x body length)/300 = weight in pounds.

Step 1. Measure the heart girth from slightly behind the shoulder blade, down over the fore ribs and under the body to behind the elbow
Step 2. Measure the length of the lamb's body from the shoulder to the pin bone of the rump.
Step 3. Take the measurements and apply the formula to determine the body weight.
